Andre Rush was born on July 9, 1974, in Columbus, Mississippi. From a young age, he showed a passion for cooking and serving others. Raised in a close-knit family, he credits his mother for instilling in him a love for food and hospitality.
After completing high school, Rush pursued his culinary dreams by enrolling in Central Texas College and Culinary Stafford University, where he earned his associate degrees in Hotel Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts, respectively. He later went on to obtain a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Trident University International.
In 1993, Rush enlisted in the U.S. Army, beginning a distinguished military career that would span four administrations at the White House. Serving in various capacities, including as a chef and Master Sergeant, Rush showcased his culinary skills and leadership abilities.
During his time at the White House, Rush had the honor of working under Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump. His dedication to serving others through his culinary talents earned him recognition and respect from both colleagues and world leaders.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Rush is known for his commitment to fitness and health. He has been vocal about his daily workout routine, which includes an impressive 2,222 pushups as part of the 22 pushup challenge to raise awareness for veteran suicide prevention.
