Alyja Daphne Santiago, better known as Jaja Santiago, was born on January 20, 1996, in Cavite, Philippines. She is the fourth of five children in her family. Her father was a basketball player, which sparked her interest in sports from a young age. Both of her siblings, Axel Leonard Santiago and Aleona Denise "Dindin" Santiago, are also successful volleyball players. Growing up in a family with a strong athletic background, it was only natural for Jaja to pursue a career in sports.
Jaja Santiago started her volleyball career playing for the National University Bulldogs. She quickly made a name for herself as a talented player with exceptional skills. In 2014, she officially began her professional volleyball career with the PLDT Home Telpad Turbo Boosters. Throughout her career, she has played for various teams, including PSL Manila and Foton Tornadoes.
