Alen Islamovic was born on August 17, 1957, in the town of Sokolac, located in Bosnia and Herzegovina. From a young age, he showed a passion for music and began playing bass for a local group called Bag.
Islamovic's musical career took off when he joined the legendary heavy metal band Divlje Jagode. He quickly gained recognition for his powerful vocals and skilled guitar playing. He later became a member of the iconic rock band Bijelo Dugme, where he further showcased his talents as a vocalist and guitarist.
In addition to his work with Divlje Jagode and Bijelo Dugme, Islamovic also pursued a successful solo career. Between 1989 and 2014, he released ten solo albums, showcasing his versatility as a musician and songwriter.
Outside of his music career, Islamovic established a tennis club in the city of Bihac, demonstrating his passion for sports and community involvement.
Islamovic has always remained grounded in his roots, staying true to his upbringing in Sokolac. Despite his fame and success, he values his family and close-knit community.
Alen Islamovic is recognized as one of the most influential figures in Bosnian music, with a career spanning decades and a dedicated fan base. Alongside fellow Bosnian singer Dino Merlin, he has left a lasting impact on the music industry in the region.
