Aimee Boorman, born on March 27, 1973 in Chicago, Illinois, always had a passion for gymnastics. She started her own journey in the sport at the young age of six, competing until she was eighteen. After high school, she pursued a degree in psychology at Northern Illinois University, graduating in 1995. Little did she know, her love for gymnastics would eventually lead her down a path to becoming one of the most influential coaches in the world.
Boorman's coaching career began at Bannon's Gymnastix in 1996. It was there that she found her calling, not only as a coach, but as a mentor and guiding force for young gymnasts. In 2003, she took on a new challenge when she started coaching a young prodigy named Simone Biles. Little did she know, that decision would change the course of her career forever.
From the age of six, Boorman worked tirelessly with Biles, honing her skills and guiding her to become one of the greatest gymnasts of all time.
