Adam Moore, born on August 5, 1984 in Longview, Texas, grew up in the small town of Mineola. He attended Mineola High School, where he quickly established himself as an all-around athlete. Not only was he a standout on the baseball diamond, but he also excelled in football and basketball.
Moore's athletic abilities were on full display during his high school career. He garnered first team all-district honors as a quarterback for the football team and was named the team MVP of his basketball squad during his senior year. However, it was on the baseball field where Moore truly shined.
After graduating from Mineola High School, Moore continued his baseball career at Northeast Texas Community College. He had two impressive seasons at the junior college, earning first team all-Texas Eastern Athletic Conference honors and even being named Collegiate Baseball magazine's national player of the week.
Moore's performance at Northeast Texas Community College caught the attention of scouts, and in the summer of 2005, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 28th round of the MLB draft. This marked the beginning of his professional baseball journey.
Moore made his MLB debut with the Seattle Mariners, where he had the privilege of seeing fellow Mariner legend Ken Griffey Jr. in the stadium. Throughout his nearly ten-year career in Major League Baseball, Moore played for five different teams, including the Cleveland Guardians and the Kansas City Royals.
During his time in the MLB, Moore had the opportunity to play under the guidance of legendary manager Terry Francona. He also shared the field with standout players like first baseman Billy Butler.
In 2021, Adam Moore returned to his hometown of Mineola, Texas, where he opened a baseball and softball academy and indoor training facility. Alongside fellow Mineola graduate and ex-college softball player Ali Galaz, Moore founded the project to give back to the community that shaped him.
