Abigail Kathryn Steiner was born on November 24, 1999, in Dublin, Ohio. She grew up in a supportive and loving family with her parents, Mollie and David Steiner, and twin siblings, Riley and Jack. From a young age, Abigail showed promise in athletics and began to excel in track and field.
Abigail attended Dublin Coffman High School, where she continued to hone her sprinting skills. In 2018, she graduated from high school and left a lasting legacy with her performances on the track. Despite facing challenges, including two major injuries, Abigail persevered and never lost sight of her goals.
Upon entering the University of Kentucky, Abigail quickly made her mark on the track and field team. Her speed and determination led her to break records and achieve incredible success at the collegiate level. Notably, in 2022, she shattered the world record for the outdoor 200M dash with a time of 21.8 seconds, solidifying her place among the top sprinters in the world.
Throughout her college career, Abigail faced adversity but always came back stronger. Injuries sidelined her during critical moments, such as the 2021 Olympic Trials and UCAA tournament. However, she never let setbacks define her and continued to push herself to new heights.
Abigail's accomplishments on the track speak for themselves. At the 2022 UCAA championship tournament, she won two gold medals, one silver, and one bronze, in addition to breaking four records. Her speed and determination set her apart from her competitors, earning her the respect and admiration of fans and peers alike.
Not only did Abigail excel on the outdoor track, but she also holds the collegiate record for the indoor 200M dash with a time of 22.09 seconds. Her versatility and skill make her a force to be reckoned with in the world of sprinting.
