Abdullah Anderson was born on January 24, 1996, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He grew up in the area with his family and was one of two siblings. From a young age, Abdullah showed a passion for football and dreamed of playing in the NFL.
After graduating from high school, Abdullah attended Bucknell University, where he excelled as a defensive tackle. He was named an FCS-All American and received numerous accolades for his performance on the field. In 2017, Abdullah was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year and FCS Collegiate Player of the Year, solidifying his reputation as a standout player.
In 2018, Abdullah Anderson signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent, marking the beginning of his NFL journey. He later went on to play for several other teams, including the Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers, Tennessee Titans, and Atlanta Falcons, before joining the Washington Commanders in March 2023.
One of Abdullah's memorable moments in the NFL was during week four of the 2019 regular season when he made his official debut against the Vikings. He recorded his first NFL sack on Teddy Bridgewater and contributed to a 16-6 victory for his team.
